Carpentería de Mama Alice

Mama Alice is a Dutch organization here that works with street children......
We are going to do a few different projects with them, like they are going to have a shop in the same house of ViaVia where they will sell things that the children and women have made....gloves, scarf’s etc.

More then this, they have a school where boys from the street can learn to work with wood and have a profession of a carpenter in the end. This is a very beautiful project and the boys are so happy about it.....

This is why we want to buy all our chairs and tables for the restaurant from this place.....
Of course it will cost us some more since they are making from a wood that is such a good quality and the boys will earn a small, small part from it too. This is not for them to earn a salary, but it is something that will push them further and give them more enthusiasm for the future.

The furniture that they are making are beautiful and would cost a fortune in Europe.....a set of 4 chairs and a table in this quality would cost more or less 500-600 € at home.

Now we are paying 300 soles for a set and that makes it 75 € for 4 chairs and a table.

We will buy more that 20 tables and 120 chairs in total and the reason why we wan your help is the reason that with these donations, we can give them other works too.....like to make our bar, the beds for the hotel, shelves, benches for the patio and wardrobes for the hotel rooms.

I already bought a set of 4 chairs and a table for my house and a double bed. I have never had such beautiful furniture in my house, I will take a picture of them and put them on my blog for you guys to see.....

Our proposal to you guys is to buy a chair or a table!!! When you do this, you will get your name on the item as a donor and you will help these boys to have a brighter future....since this will be their first big and real job for a client......

Donations are: 12, 50 € chair, 25 € table or 75 € for the whole set and you can name it from each person of your family.

Imagine its enough to just help 1 child of the street and give him a reason for a better future, by helping them and us with this project....

Think about this proposal, and later I will tell you what you can do to help us out with this project.....
And when you once get to Ayacucho, you can sit in your own chair.....how cool is that!!

I know it’s not a lot of money in Europe but here it means a lot.....

Thank you again my friends, you’re the best!
